We're going to be addressing the benefits of organic products in both the health sense and as a general topic

When it comes to bedding, people shouldn't take any chances. Merely washing sheets before using them won't get the chemicals out. With as many skin irritants that are used to treat textiles these days, the only sure thing is sleeping on organic bedding.

A year-old website that is gaining popularity is http://www.ParadiseOrganicsBedding.com, an e-store that specializes in high quality and chemical-free bedding.

"When we started the business, I knew I wanted to do something that promoted organic materials," said Francine Weagle, a co-owner of the site.

"Every night we go to sleep and those sheets that are from standard department stores have been treated with hazardous chemicals," she added.

Inspired by literature called "12 Ways to Go Organic," Weagle, along with her mother, Anna Anderson, launched the site in April 2008. The site has an impressive catalog of various organic wool comforters and various types of bedding and it continues to build upon its selection.

"We added cotton mattress pads recently," said Anderson.

According to Anderson, the products that are featured on their site, including their merino wool comforters, are all internationally certified organic.

Some of the facts that Weagle and Anderson have will translate over to their new blog, launched in lieu of their one year anniversary.

"We're going to be addressing the benefits of organic products in both the health sense and as a general topic," said Annderson.

"It's very important that we emphasize how healthy these products are," added Weagle.

As people are given the choice between something treated with chemicals that irritates skin and something that is beneficial, one could hope that they'll choose the latter.
