For many inventors, the kings of the late night infomercials hold a special place in their dreams. The loss of a great, like Billy Mays, leaves both a hole, and an opportunity for them to join their ranks.
GroutShields pioneer and President, Michael Stracuzza is a tile and construction industry veteran. GroutShields was born in Stracuzza's own garage. He worked with a chemist for five years to ensure the outstanding quality of his product and now looks to move into the world of the infomercial to introduce the world to his miracle product.
"I think that products that are sold from infomercials during this tough economic time are products that are affordable, useful and effective to the buyer. Something they feel they cannot do without," says Stracuzza. Stracuzza has seen great success with his introduction to the product on the internet, but sees great potential moving forward. "Currently the growth of Groutshields is due to the internet and my "mini" infomercial on my website. I feel that a real television informercial will cause it to sky rocket."
Acknowledging that Billy Mays shoes may be difficult to fill, Stracuzza nonetheless hopes to join his ranks. "Billy Mays was a great pitchman that endorsed products with great excitement. He really lured people towards whatever product he was representing. He will be greatly missed. I see myself as a pitchman in the infomercial world, endorsing products that I believe in with excitement and maybe even a sense of humor."
