Carguide Magazine Announces First Annual Driver's Choice Awards

Drivers themselves vote on best vehicles and accessories, and win prizes

Oakville, ON (PRWEB) July 13, 2009 -- Carguide magazine's first annual Canadian Driver's Choice Awards celebrate the best of Canadian motoring by recognizing the most popular vehicles and automotive accessories sold in Canada - as selected by the drivers themselves.

Between now and July 26, consumers can win from more than $1,000 worth of prizes when they vote for their favourite vehicles and aftermarket accessories at http://www.carguidecanada.ca. Categories include the best vehicle (from 16 different categories), the best used vehicles on the market, the best tires, the best engine treatments, lubricants and additives - right down to the best automotive-themed video game.

"The Carguide Canadian Driver's Choice Awards are unique in that the winners will be selected by actual consumers - not automotive journalists or some panel of industry analysts," says Carguide publisher, Cathryn Oliver. "The winners in each category will be determined by the people who actually buy and use these products. Those are the opinions that really matter."

Consumers select their choices via an online survey with convenient pull-down menus. Prizes are awarded randomly, and include products from Shell. Quaker State, Pennzoil, Rain-X, Black Magic and Ed Hardy - including synthetic oil changes at Wal-Mart and $400 gas cards.

Voting closes at 12:01 am on July 26, 2009. For more information, visit http://www.carguidecanada.ca.
