Though the media industry is in a period of uncertainty, Front Office Sports Enterprise announced their plans today to launch Fan Huddle, a new sports media website, this fall. The target launch is early September, according to Front Office Sports Enterprise, but an exact date has yet to be set. Fan Huddle will feature news and opinions on most major US sports and additional international coverage. Fan Huddle can be found online at http://www.fanhuddle.com.

Fan Huddle will capitalize on new media techniques. The website consists of a network of blogs on every team in the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB. Additionally, Fan Huddle will feature a large fantasy sports section and smaller sections on additional sports such as soccer, tennis, racing, mixed martial arts, and boxing. In all, Fan Huddle will feature over 100 articles published every day with over 150 writers on staff.

In addition to articles, Fan Huddle will provide readers with the ability to interact with each other and discuss their favorite teams. Live chats with experts will be a regular feature on Fan Huddle and users will be encouraged to become engaged in the community.

Front Office Sports Enterprise believes that the key to unlocking the future of the media industry is finding the balance between interactivity and reliability. Therefore, when the company was looking to expand, they set forth two goals: (1) expand the company's offerings into all sports markets and (2) combine reliability with greater user interaction and a smoother interface. Their solution was Fan Huddle.

Front Office Sports Enterprise was launched in 2007 by Brad Stewart, then a high school student at Lake Forest Academy in Lake Forest, IL. Stewart will also serve as the executive editor of Fan Huddle.

"Though the readership of many traditional media sources is shrinking, sports fandom is not," noted Stewart. "Fan Huddle capitalizes on new media options to reach the fans that are no longer reading the newspaper in the morning."
