PILG is thrilled to host this conference and job series for the 14th consecutive year
Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 14, 2009 -
The Pederson Immigration Law Group, P.C., (PILG) announced that Jan Pederson, the nation's foremost foreign physician immigration expert and senior partner at the firm, will serve as keynote speaker at this year's J-1/H-1B Foreign Physician Immigration Conference and Job Fair Series.
The annual series provides a unique comprehensive educational opportunity for foreign physicians undertaking graduate medical training in the U.S. and residency program directors and coordinators who manage medical training programs at teaching institutions throughout the country to learn about the complex physician immigration process.
This year's events will take place in New York on August 8, Chicago on September 19, and Baltimore on October 24. Each conference will present seminars on topics such as finding and keeping a J-1waiver job, avoiding the H-1B cap and navigating J-1 waiver and permanent residence options. The series will also include job fairs hosted by employment recruiters to facilitate job opportunities for medical Residents and Fellows after completion of their training.
The annual conference and job fair series is co-sponsored by PILG, the American College of International Physicians and the National Consortium of Immigration Law Firms or IMMLAW.
"PILG is thrilled to host this conference and job series for the 14th consecutive year," said Pederson. "Foreign physicians have a long and proud tradition of providing medical services to America's medically neediest citizens in rural and urban underserved areas and to America's war veterans at VA hospitals. PILG is honored to continue our sponsorship of this free and invaluable resource to help foreign physicians endeavor to fulfill a vital and critical role in our nation's health care system."
