The Magazine Group (themagazinegroup.com) announced today that Michael McCarthy has been named editor in chief of Washington Flyer magazine and its associated media.
McCarthy, who was in the same post from 1999 to 2004, recently was an editorial director at Active Interest Media based in Los Angeles. He managed the special-interest publisher's shelter magazines, web sites and special media projects. McCarthy's insights on architecture were published in the Los Angeles Times, Denver Post and Washington Post, among other national media outlets, and he appeared on CNN.
