The Wireless Industrial Networking Alliance (WINA), expert wireless resource for the industrial market, today announced that Yokogawa Corporation of America, a leading global automation solutions company, has joined its Board of Directors.
Representing Yokogawa will be Dr. Penny Chen, a Principal Systems Architect at Yokogawa's Industrial Automation Global Strategic Technology Marketing Center. Chen manages the company's technology standardization and marketing strategy focusing on wireless, networking and security.

"Dr. Chen brings a deep comprehension of wireless systems, and currently co-chairs the ISA100.15 working group focused on the establishment of standards for wireless backhaul," added Toteda.

Chen is actively involving in ISA100 (Wireless Systems for Automation), ISA99 (Manufacturing and Control Systems Security), ISA Security Compliance Institute (ISCI), and ISA Wireless Compliance Institute (WCI). She is currently co-chair of the ISA100.15 Wireless Backhaul Backbone Network Working Group. She has worked as Senior Architect, Technical Marketing and Product Marketing Manager at Intel, Alcatel-Lucent, and a start up company where she focused on wireless networking technologies and security solutions for a wide range of wireless technologies including Bluetooth, WiFi, and 2G/2.5G/3G mobile technologies. Chen received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University.
