The Kitchen in Stillwater--now open! H&H Progressive Cuisine has hired local celebrity chef Jim Kyndberg to assist in the development of Stillwater's newest and most exciting restaurant concept, The Kitchen. With a "kitchy" brand inspired by 1940's Vargas-style art, Chef/Owner Erick Harcey and Chef Kyndberg created a complimentary menu playfully paying homage to the everyday comfort food of a traditional French Brasserie.

A truly innovative menu, The Kitchen's guests will enjoy traditional French fare with a twist. "'Duck Duck Goose' is one of my favorites. We served a lot of duck at the Bayport Cookery and so bringing duck into The Kitchen menu was part of my personal contribution," says Kyndberg. "This dish pays respect to the whole bird, piecing it together in a fun way. We serve a country style hash made with the confit legs, fan out a perfectly seared breast around it, top it with a poached egg, and tie it all together with a rich foie gras sauce. No part goes unused." In addition, the menu is accented with the comfort food Chef Harcey has made an H&H signature. Harcey's play on a "BLT" includes crispy pork belly topped with arugula and tomato and finished with a deliciously smoky mayo. The menu also includes a "raw bar" comprised of a chilled seafood platter with oysters, scallop ceviche and other in season favorites. There's truly something for everyone in The Kitchen.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Stillwater, The Kitchen boasts not only superior cuisine but an ambiance "worth the drive." Grab a cocktail on The Kitchen patio: a beautiful courtyard, tucked back from the hustle and bustle of the street. "My favorite drink on the list is the 'Kitchen Cocktail', says Chef Harcey, "really simple, we shake Jameson whiskey with a little fresh ginger and some fresh lemon. We top it with Crispin cider and you end up with a gingery, lemony refreshing drink." There is no better place to delight in a bite to eat, a quick cocktail and the beautiful outdoor relaxation that Stillwater is famous for.
