Abundant Life Academy (ALA) Hires New Mental Health Counselor

Abundant Life Academy is pleased to announce the addition of Susan Maehre as their newest staff member and the Mental Health Counselor.

Kanab, UT (PRWEB) July 16, 2009 -- Abundant Life Academy is proud to announce an addition to the Abundant Life Academy Staff, Susan Maehre, as a Mental Health Counselor. Susan will be available to all students attending ALA for therapy sessions and other counseling. Susan holds a Masters Degree in Religious Education as well as a Masters of Psychology Degree and has over six years of professional experience at a comprehensive outpatient behavioral and mental health facility, with a special focus on the treatment of drug/alcohol abuse and addiction.
   
By adding Susan to the staff, ALA will have an additional resource to help students get their lives back on track. She previously served as a chaplain in a hospital, an elementary school teacher, an organist/choir director and the wife of a pastor. She and her husband, Bob, also have a home-based record company where they produce and market Susan's musical talents. Craig Rogers, CEO of Abundant Life Academy said, "She is the perfect fit for our ministry here at Abundant Life. She has a true love for today's teen, as well as wanting to be a key instrument in God's plan for the ALA students!"

In addition to her work at ALA and the mental health facility, she is also employed by 4TheYouth, an agency working with teens in the Utah foster care system. Susan and Bob have three grown children and two grandchildren and reside in Hurricane, Utah.

Abundant Life Academy was founded in December 2000 by Craig and Wendy Rogers as an alternative option for teens that are looking for their place in the world.
