In conjunction with the National Federation for the Blind, the recent National Association of Blind Merchants (NABM)annual business meeting took place in Detroit, Michigan on July 5th, 2009. In attendance were approximately 110 of the leaders of the National Association of Blind Merchants. The NABM is a membership organization of blind persons, currently there are over 2,500 blind merchants doing business through in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
The association is comprised of small business men and women who manage coffee shops, snack bars, vending machine banks, cafeterias and convenient stores throughout the nation.
