Syclo Announces Agentry 5.1 at Its Fifth Annual Mobile Conference
Syclo builds more resiliency, ease of use into the new version of its Agentry mobile application platform.
Hoffman Estates, IL (PRWEB) July 15, 2009 -- Syclo announced today the new release of its highly acclaimed Agentry mobile enterprise application platform. Supported by a growing global user base and diverse partner community, Syclo continues to invest heavily in making its flagship product more scalable, resilient and easier to use. With 5.1, the Agentry platform is gaining powerful mobile device management capabilities, better server clustering, and multiple enhancements to the development environment, testing tool and on-device application behavior.
Some of the new features, like mobile device management (MDM), aim to reduce day-to-day management costs for large mobile deployments. With capabilities including mobile asset management, update and patch management, and remote troubleshooting, Agentry MDM helps companies minimize employee downtime and get the most out of their devices through better use, simpler deployment and easier support. Other improvements such as better server clustering target higher performance and business continuity through use of multiple or redundant 64-bit Windows, Unix and Linux servers. Another set of enhancements made the on-device application more versatile and easier to use. This was accomplished by better navigation, easier incorporation of data from on-board peripherals into the mobile application and providing an open client framework for tighter, more seamless integration with third-party applications like GIS.
