Brian Webster Consulting and WirelessMapping.Com Announce Census Block level Mapping and Demographic Support Services to support American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) programs through the NTIA BTOP and RUS BIP loan/grant stimulus programs.

Brian Webster Consulting and WirelessMapping.Com announce a suite of demographic mapping and coverage services specifically designed for Internet providers, state and local governments, non-profit foundations, businesses and others who are preparing NTIA BTOP and RUS BIP grant and loan applications.

The mapping services show broadband DSL, cable, fixed wireless and cellular/PCS service areas. Coverage information is calculated down to the census block level. The blocks can be displayed as "served", "underserved" or "unserved" and categorized as "remote" or "non-remote", and "rural" or "non-rural" as defined by the NTIA/RUS Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA). Graphic displays can include the number of households passed, the percentage of households with access to broadband and the distances between unserved and already-served markets. Information is also available in database and spreadsheet format.

Internet service providers can request maps that clearly show unserved or underserved areas along with calculations to see if their project area meets the requirements for a BTOP or BIP application.

WirelessMapping.Com has been providing wireless and geospatial mapping services for seven years, both with and without accompanying demographic reports that show the number of households covered or passed. Past and current clients include Lockheed Martin, EarthLink, Covad, Federal Engineering, Sprint PCS, ExteNet Systems, Southern California Gas and Electric, Strix, Thunder Bay Telephone Company and

Brian Webster, Principal Consultant states "Everyone knows that a picture, or in this case, a map, is worth a thousand words. We help our clients strengthen their grant and loan applications by allowing them to present their cases very clearly with images as well as with hard data. Giving applicants the ability to display their information graphically can make all the difference when it comes to receiving funding. Being able to create answers right down to the census block level is a requirement for the application process."

Brian Webster Consulting (and WirelessMapping.Com) were started to fill a need for affordable wireless engineering services for those who can not justify the cost of hiring full time RF Engineering staff. With over 18 years industry experience, projects are approached with a creative eye and cost-conscious methodology. Services can be provided in just about every discipline, from cellular and PCS to public safety, wireless Internet, WIMAX, municipal wireless, distributed antenna systems (DAS), fiber, BPL and other broadband system technologies.
