Targeted, Brand-Focused Microsite Attracts Students to Freddie Mac. Campus Recruitment Plan Gets Interactive Boost

With the assistance of NAS Recruitment Communications, Freddie Mac has expanded its campus recruitment efforts by implementing a more targeted and effective strategy, focused on its campus microsite.

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) July 16, 2009 -- With the assistance of NAS Recruitment Communications, Freddie Mac has expanded its campus recruitment efforts by implementing a more targeted and effective strategy, focused on its campus microsite.

NAS significantly enhanced Freddie Mac's campus microsite (freddiemaccampus.jobs), turning existing static, text-heavy pages into pages with dynamic graphics, good use of white space and Flash elements. The consistent message - "You want a career with impact" - drives home the fact that Freddie Mac employees not only experience a rewarding career, they also help restore a healthy economy.

According to Susan Snyder, Freddie Mac's Advertising Manager, the results were impressive. "The campus microsite gave us greater recognition and a distinctive identity," Susan commented. "We immediately had a considerable increase in qualified candidate traffic. Within the first week of launch, we had over 55% positive feedback. And students are spending longer amounts of time searching for information on the site."

"Attracting college hires is crucial to our business areas," said Stephanie Roemer, Freddie Mac's Campus Relations Manager. "We recently invited over 200 students to visit our headquarters and participate in interviews - and we made job offers to selected candidates. The quality and volume of students we were able to screen in advance on the microsite added significantly to the success of the event."

The campus microsite includes an events calendar with individualized university RSVP pages, which allows Freddie Mac to gauge event attendance. NAS also created a new candidate database to track applicants. "This helps Freddie Mac cross-reference resumes with jobs, maintain dialogue with students and prepare for upcoming campus events," said Jennifer Henley, NAS Business Development Director. "It's important in any campus effort to sustain an ongoing relationship with students."
