Three of the most accomplished softball players in the world and four Division I colleges have joined together to give girls ages 10-18 an opportunity to learn from the USA Olympic team. Over this Labor Day weekend Cat Osterman, Laura Berg, and Crystl Bustos will be coaching a 3-day softball clinic.

"It was amazing to be able to work with the Olympians one on one. Pitching to Crystl Bustos and hitting off Cat Osterman was pretty intimidating but it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and one that I will never forget," says Carly Duckworth, a camper from the 2008 clinic. "I learned that the Olympians are just regular people but have worked extremely hard to improve their talents."

Cat Osterman, a World Champion pitcher, Olympic Gold and Silver Medalist, and two-time Pan American Gold medalist, will be teaching the pitching clinic. Young girls will have the exciting chance to meet Osterman, learn to perfect their pitch, and woo the college coaches that will be attending.

Clinic students will also get to learn from Laura Berg, who is a three-time Pan American Gold medalist, three-time Olympic Gold medalist, Olympic Silver medalist, and setting a record as a four-time World Champion. Berg is respectfully one of America's best outfielders, and will be sharing with the campers her slapping, bunting, and outfield secrets.

Crystl Bustos, a two time World Cup Champion, two-time Olympic Gold medalist, Olympic Silver medalist and three-time Pan American gold medalist, will also be a coach at the softball clinic. Bustos, who has been referred to as one of the best hitters of all time, will be teaching her invaluable hitting and infielding skills to the campers. Knowing how to play all areas of the game will make each young woman a force to be reckoned with. They'll gain the respect of their peers, as well as college coaches and recruiters.

Division I college coaches from Texas A&M, BYU, the U of U and Utah State will be attending the softball clinic to keep an eye out for new talent. The college coaches will also provide invaluable information from time to time (giving you hints as to how to catch their attention as their next pick). Coaches from Weber State and SLCC will also be there.

Experienced coaches and Olympians combine their knowledge and experience to give young American's confidence as well as skill. Campers are lining up to join because they know the way to the top is by learning from the best.

Registration has started and can be done by calling Coach Bennett 801-631-6869 or Cory Olsen 801-865-2277, or through their website at http://www.rockymountainsoftballclinic.com
