Housing Company Set for Banner Sales Year

Despite the challenging economy and housing market, WA based company has had their best first quarter sales in years.

Woodinville, WA (PRWEB) July 17, 2009 -- Despite the challenging economy and housing market, International Homes of Cedar (IHC) based in WA, has had their best first quarter sales in years. "Things are looking up" says Rodney Robertson owner of IHC. "I've owned the company for ten years and this year should be our best year since I've owned the business." He really feels great about this, since 2008 sales were up from the previous year. Three consecutive yearly increases, definitely puts them in a class by themselves! International Homes of Cedar has been producing and building custom cedar homes for over 40 years.

When asked why his firm is seeing an up-swing when so many builders are down, Robertson attributes the steady business increase to being very pro-active, focusing on the consumer's needs and working smarter and harder. Other contributing factors that are a big help are: interest rates that are at all time lows, better availability of quality builders, and stable material prices. He also stressed the fact that since they sell nationally and internationally, they are not dependent on a specific local market. Alaska and Washington have always been good markets for them and they have recently sold homes to South Korea and are setting up a new dealer in the Netherlands.

The future looks even brighter for the company in 2010, as they have numerous homes in the design stage, plus a number of projects that are already on the books. Many of their customers are already working on building permits and foundation preparations for next year. Despite all the pessimistic news in the media, housing experts are saying that there has never been a better time to build or buy a home.

International Homes of Cedar uses only kiln-dried Inland Western Red Cedar, which is one of the most durable wood species on the planet and they provide one of the most comprehensive timber home packages in the industry.
