ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT) today announced that its file inspection application, PuriFile®, has been successfully integrated into BAE Systems' Datagate™ cross-domain solution (CDS).

We've chosen to integrate ITT's PuriFile software in our Datagate CDS product in order to deliver on a key aspect of the CDS data-integrity component

ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT) today announced that its file inspection application, PuriFile®, has been successfully integrated into BAE Systems' Datagate™ cross-domain solution (CDS). Datagate CDS is a critical component of several intelligence community government agency networks, providing secure protection between operations working at different security levels. Data and communications that move from one network domain to another undergo extremely high levels of scrutiny, ensuring that there are no compromises in the security or integrity of the information.

"This integration provides further demonstration of ITT's strong commitment to advancing the state of information security through any and all avenues," said Scott Patrick, director of ITT's Cyber Assurance Department. "PuriFile technology extends the operational capability of Datagate CDS providing greater security and benefit to the customer."

ITT's PuriFile software is a file inspection application which performs deep analysis of various Microsoft Office file formats, and discovers information within and about files that would otherwise go un-noticed in typical review processes. BAE Systems Datagate CDS is the latest in a growing series of government and commercial products to use ITT's PuriFile application for deep content inspection of files before transfer.

"We've chosen to integrate ITT's PuriFile software in our Datagate CDS product in order to deliver on a key aspect of the CDS data-integrity component," said Roger Yee, vice president of defense enterprise for BAE Systems.

ITT's PuriFile inspection tool exists as a stand-alone product, but the availability of an Application Programming Interface (API) allows it to be easily incorporated into a wide variety of transfer and inspection systems. PuriFile 3.3 also provides additional tools and mechanisms for easy integration into existing active directory systems for user identification. This integration capability is of greatest interest to customers requiring enterprise deployment of PuriFile, such as the recent purchase by the U.S. Department of Defense.
