While studying daily cleaning routines, we found that many consumers struggle to use the different features and functions of their vacuums comfortably
Bloomington, IL (PRWEB) July 20, 2009
From bending low and reaching high to awkward twists and turns, Eureka's cleaning experts know that the strain of daily chores can be a real pain - which is why they developed the new Comfort Clean upright vacuum. Designed to be easy on users but tough on dirt, Comfort Clean eliminates unnecessary bending and makes vacuuming more convenient with fingertip controls, foot pedals and intuitive, easy-access attachments that remove dirt comfortably, even in hard-to-clean areas.
"While studying daily cleaning routines, we found that many consumers struggle to use the different features and functions of their vacuums comfortably," said Randy Sandlin, general manager of consumer experience and innovation for Eureka. "Comfort Clean is a completely ergonomic solution to vacuuming that features insightful design details to reduce the strains cleaning can cause."
A Back-Friendly Vacuum
When it's time to start cleaning, an on/off foot pedal allows for a quick, no-bend start that "steps" into action quickly. A nearby foot-controlled height adjustment lever makes it easy to transition between carpet types while standing. To further reduce bending, a cord clip near the handle secures the plug to the top of the vacuum for easy access every time, while an automatic cord rewind provides no-bend, no-wrap storage once cleaning is complete.
"Comfort Clean's unique design eases the up-and-down motions of cleaning, making it perfect for seniors with arthritis, back pain sufferers and anyone looking to reduce the strain of a fast-paced day," said Jackie Cooper, director of marketing and communications for Eureka.
Weighing less than 20 pounds, Comfort Clean's lightweight form and comfort-grip oval handle make it easy to maneuver around the home. The vacuum's handle also adjusts to five different height settings, from 42 inches to 47 inches, to offer optimal control and comfort to users of all sizes, especially taller users who bend frequently to operate traditional vacuums.
Ergonomic Tools for On-the-Go Cleaning
To alleviate the stretching that comes with cleaning household nooks and crannies, Comfort Clean features intuitive tools that bend over backwards to keep users upright. A telescopic wand system, built into the vacuum's hose, can be easily grabbed during cleaning and fitted with the crevice tool or dusting brush attachments stored near the vacuum's handle. The Eureka-exclusive Power Paw® with Riser Visor™ tool is stored right on top of the vacuum and cleans stairs and upholstery both horizontally and vertically, eliminating awkward sideways and upside-down wrist positions.
Additional features of Comfort Clean include a bottom-empty dust cup that allows users to dispose of dirt quickly and with less mess, HEPA filtration that captures more than 99.97 percent of dust, allergens and other small particles, and a powerful, deep-cleaning 12-amp motor.
"Comfort Clean was designed to keep consumers upright while they clean up," said Cooper. "Its Eureka-exclusive tools, well-placed features and lightweight design help deliver a strain-free, complete clean every time."
Comfort Clean retails for $129.99 and is available nationally at Target®, Best Buy®, Lowe's®, Sears® and Sam's Club®. For more information about Comfort Clean or other Eureka products, consumers can call 800-282-2886 or visit http://www.eureka.com.
