TriStar Plastics Corp., a leader in engineered plastics solutions, today announced its expansion of its sales team with the hiring of David Olson as Sales Engineer focused on the New England region.

Olson brings considerable expertise to TriStar, particularly in the medical device industry. Before joining TriStar, Olson was a president of Focus BioMed, a contract services supplier to the medical device, packaging, diagnostic, aseptic filling and biotech disposables manufacturing sectors. Previously, Olson was with EGC Corp. Houston, TX in Technical Sales selling high-performance engineering plastics and ceramic component solutions used in a range of industries.
Prior to Focus BioMed, Olson was the Eastern Regional Sales Manager with Surgical Technologies, St Paul MN where he sold contract services in manufacturing, assembly, packaging, sterilization of medical devices along with the manufacturing of custom surgical instruments with its McLean Group. Other positions included Micro Medical Technologies in Operations and Sales Management. Olson holds a bachelors degree in Engineering Management from Central New England College of Technology.
