Horst Construction Wins 2009 ABC Keystone 'Excellence in Construction' Awards

Horst Construction, a mid-Atlantic regional leader in commercial and industrial construction, earned two "Excellence in Construction" awards from the Associated Builders & Contractors, Keystone Chapter. Winning projects were Rohrer's Quarry central-mix concrete plant and the independent-living Village Square Apartments at Garden Spot Village.

Building projects for Rohrer's Quarry, in Lititz, and Garden Spot Village, in New Holland, have earned "Excellence in Construction" awards for Horst Construction. The awards, sponsored by the Keystone Chapter of the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC), were presented recently at a ceremony at Dutch Apple Dinner Theater.

Rohrer's new $3.6 million central-mix concrete plant won ABC Keystone's top prize -- the Award of Excellence -- in the General Contractor Industrial Over $2 Million project category. Village Square Apartments at Garden Spot Village, a $20 million independent-living facility, earned a Merit award in the General Contractor Commercial $10-$25 Million category.
