we are very fortunate to attract and screen some of the best independent films in the world. This year's winning films were hugely entertaining, and I expect that they will go on to earn great success in the national and international marketplace.

The Video Guys - a critically-acclaimed, award-winning independent comedy about the wedding business and all the mayhem that goes with it, extended its winning streak at the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2g2T3uQNuI held this past week.
"This is a very exciting time for 'The Video Guys' and our family production company, Silly Sister's Productions," said Jeanne Brennan, the film's Producer, who left show business 13 years ago to become a mother of 2 girls who work with her on her independent films. Jeanne is now known in her two Girl Scout Troops as The Movie Mom. "The girls in both my troops are in the film, it is amazing to have so many talented friends as well as accomplished actors in our film." It was not just a family venture, the whole town came together to help with locations, extras and of course, The Video Guy's Car." "This year at the Long Island International Film Expo, it was an incredible thrill to watch my 13 year old daughter Sabrina, win her 3rd Best Supporting Actress award in as many festivals."
"The Video Guys" has won 11 major awards in it's last 3 film festivals, including Best Feature in all 3!
"Making this film was a family's dream come true," notes Dan Brennan. "My wife Jeanne is the Producer, while I wrote and Directed the film. In addition to our award winning daughter Sabrina, our younger daughter Diana also appears in several comical scenes in the film. It has been a very exciting ride for us, and a pretty cool accomplishment for a family to come together and have this kind of success." "There are no guarantees in the Indie Film business, and despite our tiny production budget--we paid for 'The Video Guys' out of our own pocket--I believe we have an intriguing story about a fun family movie," added Dan Brennan. "I hope that Indie film enthusiasts will be inspired by our story." Jeanne adds "We recently just picked up domestic and world wide distribution, however, I still have to drive my kids to dance, and my next big production is my 13 year old daughter's backyard pool party!"
The Silly Sisters Production took the Expo's overall award of "Best Feature Film," in addition to "Best Actor" (Dan Brennan), "Best Actress" (Allison Lane), "Best Supporting Actor" (Russ Camarda) and "Best Supporting Actress" (Sabrina Brennan). Jeanne Brennan also received an Honorable Mention for Best Cinematography.
The recent Expo nods complement back-to-back wins this year at the Hoboken Film Festival ("Best Feature Film," "Grand Jury Prize," "Best Supporting Actress" and "Best Trailer") and the International Family Film Festival in Hollywood ("Best Comedy Feature" and "Best Child Actor").
Debra Markowitz, director of the Nassau County (New York) film office said, "we are very fortunate to attract and screen some of the best independent films in the world. This year's winning films were hugely entertaining, and I expect that they will go on to earn great success in the national and international marketplace."
The upbeat comedy stars "Video Guys" Dan Brennan, Russ Camarda, Tom Doran, Johnny Ferro and Chris Douros, in addition to breakout child actress Sabrina Brennan.
Jeanne thinks her story is very inspiring. "So many of my mom friends love to hear my story. You are nothing without the support and love of friends and family. I work out of my living room, my daughter has won 3 acting awards and suddenly I'm in show business as a movie producer. Now if I can just get my director husband to cut the lawn." "Our family motto is simple - Believe"
With its growing momentum, the film is being submitted to film festivals such as the Hamptons International Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival in hopes of growing a loyal grassroots audience following." You can visit our website at http://www.videoguysthemovie.com
