Norcross, GA (PRWEB) July 24, 2009
Technical Innovation, one of the southeast's leading providers of digital media technology solutions, announced today that Colonel James E. Granger, the former Chief Information Officer (G6) at the United States Army Special Operations Command at Ft. Bragg in North Carolina, will be joining the organization in the newly created role of Director of Business Development for the TI Federal Group.
Colonel Granger brings a wealth of experience to an already well-respected team at Technical Innovation. He has specialized in conventional and special operations communications over a career serving at the tactical, joint, and strategic levels. His accomplishments at Ft. Bragg include the creation of a state-of-the-art Network Operations Center and Command Center. He was responsible for supporting Army Special Operations Forces worldwide with reliable communications. Colonel Granger has commanded a brigade at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, served as a deputy brigade commander at Ft. Shaftner in Hawai'i, and commanded a signal battalion in the Republic of Korea. Among numerous awards, he is a Bronze Star Medal recipient for accomplishments as Chief of Staff of a Joint Task Force deployed in support of combat operations in Afghanistan.
Colonel Granger also served as a member of the Department of the Army Chief Information Officer Executive Board and the United States Special Operations Command Chief Information Council.
"It is truly rare that an opportunity presents itself to add such an experienced and respected person to our team, and we're thrilled to have Colonel Granger's' knowledge and record expand our reach and capabilities," notes Kevin Powers, Technical Innovation Managing Partner. "It is my honor to work with him, and I know that his enthusiasm and dedication will have an immediate, significant impact in our business."
Colonel Granger is equally enthusiastic about joining Technical Innovation. "As I considered employment opportunities in the information technology industry, Technical Innovation quickly grabbed my attention. The company has an established reputation in DoD circles for providing a quality product and standing behind its work with great service. Their core values, which mirror the Army's, speak volumes about the professionalism and the work climate at TI."
Colonel Granger continued, "It was important for me to join a team that is committed to providing top-notch technology and outstanding service to our armed forces and those that support them," noted Granger. "And TI has built a long-standing reputation as a leader in delivering systems that not only enable effective communications, but also help organizations be more productive."
While Colonel Granger will be located in the Technical Innovation Birmingham, Alabama office, he will manage new business development in the DoD for Technical Innovation throughout the United States. "Colonel Granger will take the lead in a strategic approach to delivering 'best-of-class' digital media solutions to our customers in the DoD market. He will enable us to expand our reach and further solidify our position in the world of video-centric communications providers," explained Kevin Powers. "To say that we're energized by his arrival is a significant understatement."
