Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) July 24, 2009
Dennis Haley, the President of the highly successful and fast-growing Academy Leadership, will be talking about Leadership - the need for it and how to do it effectively - on "Strategy with Passion" on VoiceAmerica.com's Business Channel on July 31 at 11.00AM EDT.
Academy Leadership is success-based. It was founded by a group of Service Academy graduates who became successful business leaders following their military careers. They discovered that the principles they learned at Annapolis and West Point - self-discipline, commitment to goals larger than themselves personally, persistence, a will to win, integrity, treating others with respect and dignity - served them very well in the commercial environment. And those principles seemed to be lacking in many of the businesses they encountered. They themselves have a passion for leading others in such a way that their people identify with the overall mission of the organization, and see a clear relationship between their daily duties and accomplishment of the organization's goals, and they want to share these leadership skills with others.
Their philosophy is training only for a purpose. They will not conduct training for training's sake. Their training is focused on helping companies achieve their business goals. Thus, their approach is to conduct purposeful training that is student-centered, experience-based, and performance-oriented. Purposeful training enables individuals to meet their specific learning needs and meet the needs of the organization.
Dennis Haley, the Founder and guiding light of Academy Leadership graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1967 with a B.S. in Engineering, Dennis Haley successfully completed Admiral Rickover's nuclear power training program and served onboard the USS Long Beach, a nuclear powered cruiser. Leaving the Navy, he joined a small family-owned HVAC company in Philadelphia, PA. Over a 25 year career, he grew this small business into one of the largest and most respected HVAC companies in the Delaware Valley. He also contributed to the community by serving in a number of positions including the Board of Directors of Fort Mifflin and President of the Delaware Valley Chapter, Air Conditioning Contractors of America. Dennis then left the heating and air conditioning industry to spearhead a new endeavor: helping others reach their full potential as leaders. He developed the Lead2Succeed™ process that creates the ideal environment for behavior change to take place, and thus was Academy Leadership born..
