Grande Prairie Public Library in Hazel Crest, IL will have its 35th Year Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, July 25, 2009, 1:00-4:00p.m. Family fun includes, children's performer, face painting, jumper, caricature artist, cake, ice cream, snow cones, D.J., and lots of other treats. This event is Free!

In 1974, the Country Club Hills Library District and the Hazel Crest Library joined forces to create the Grande Prairie Public Library District to faithfully serve the residents of both communities. With help from the South Suburban Library System, a Library Services and Construction Federal Grant, the Project PLUS initiative, and a number of dedicated residents from both communities, the goal became a reality. Guided by the mantra, "Together We Can Make A Difference", the efforts paid off.

Join us as we celebrate 35 years of Unity, Community and the Power of Libraries! 1:00 - 2:00pm: Family Entertainment with "Smarty Pants" 2:00-4:00pm: Games, Music, Jumper, Face Painting, Caricature Artist, and Treats.
