OnMessage Founder Sought Out To Initiate and Lead D/FW AMA Health Care Special Interest Group

AMA Dallas/Fort Worth chapter selects Jim O'Gara to head the new health care SIG due to his vast experience in the health care marketing industry.

The Dallas/Fort Worth (D/FW) chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) has selected Jim O'Gara, president and founder of OnMessage, to begin and lead a new health care special interest group (SIG) for the D/FW area. The objective: to bring together a variety of health care and marketing professionals interested not only in networking with their peers, but in educating one another on industry trends and sharing creative marketing strategies.

O'Gara was invited to direct this special interest group based on his extensive experience developing strategic marketing plans for clients within the health care sector through his agency's health care division, OnMessageTHRIVE.

"We plan on building a dynamic community of marketing professionals that work within the health care industry and those that are targeting the health care industry," said O'Gara. "This special interest group will provide marketing professionals in D/FW the opportunity to share innovative ideas and best practices when it comes to health care marketing."

Upcoming D/FW AMA Health care SIG events include a networking happy hour at La Hacienda Ranch, Preston Rd., in Dallas on August 12th at 5:30 p.m., as well as its first official meeting on September 22nd at 5:00 p.m. The topic for the first SIG meeting is, "The Transformation of Health Care Marketing" conducted as a panel discussion consisting of four-to-five leading health care marketing professionals. The panel will share how they are using new media to reach individuals within the health care sector and/or how they are using new media to market their health care products and services.
