Solectek Corporation, a leading U.S. manufacturer of broadband wireless equipment announced today the availability of its new mobile broadband platform operating across the 700 MHz licensed frequency bands. The SkyWay-Mobile Series is a complete, end-to-end system solution consisting of a base transceiver station (BTS), fixed and mobile subscriber terminals, element management system (EMS), and voice gateway. The system is ideal for fixed, mobile and hybrid fixed/mobile applications where voice and broadband data services are required.
The SkyWay-Mobile system incorporates state-of-the-art technology including a smart antenna system coupled to powerful tower-top amplifiers to deliver industry leading coverage and capacity. "The system is extremely versatile and is well positioned for both low density, rural broadband applications and high-density urban rollouts due to the combination of BTS technology and low CPE costs," says Dr. Eric Lee, CEO of Solectek.
