Landscape industry veteran, Chris Heiler, is writing and self-publishing a unique marketing book for other landscape professionals--all within 90 days. "The Little Green Book of Big Marketing Tips and Tactics for Landscape Professionals" details 49 real-world and proven marketing strategies from how to win loyal clients to how to build a powerful presence online.
The strategies go beyond traditional marketing tactics, teaching readers how to leverage the numerous technologies and resources available in today's "Web 2.0" world.
"The Little Green Book is an incredible resource." Says Jason Cupp, President and CEO of Highland Outdoor in Kansas City, "Chris has created one of the most forward-thinking projects the Green Industry has ever seen…It's a must-read."
Delivering value beyond that of traditional book publishers was a top priority from the projects beginning. "A majority of marketing and business books are filled with mostly philosophy and a lot of "what you should do" as opposed to teaching you exactly how to do it." Says author Chris Heiler, "My goal is to deliver untraditional value. This is why I included numerous case studies from other landscape professionals, as well as provided a complementary website for readers to access videos, downloads and other support content beyond the pages of the book."
"Untraditional" can also describe the way The Little Green Book is being promoted. The author's personal blog is the central platform for all promotion and sales. A Facebook group and Twitter account have attracted nearly 700 followers in only 60 days. A "Virtual Book Tour", which will include live teleseminars, is scheduled for August leading up to the book's release. "My intent was to engage potential readers from the very beginning by creating an interesting "story" they could follow. I did this by creating the 90 Day Challenge and by being completely transparent throughout this process." Said Heiler.
"The Little Green Book" will be released on Friday, August 28th but can be preordered now. The book will initially be released in paperback, but will also be offered in e-book format soon after the initial release. For more details, and to preorder the book, visit http://www.Lil-Green-Book.com.
