DK Pictures' Art Tools Are Added to Largest Social Network for Tweens

B*tween Productions, developer of media brand, the Beacon Street Girls®, and DK Pictures, a developer of browser-accessible drawing and animation tools, today announced the opening of the new Beacon Street Girls (Club BSG) Art Room. The Club BSG Art Room is a new online destination for tween girls interested in drawing, arts, crafts and other creative online activities such as movie-making and animation.

The Beacon Street Girls COPPA-compliant site is the largest safe social network designed specifically for tween girls with hundreds of thousands of unique visitors every month. The site is complemented by the popular Beacon Street Girls book series, with 20 full-length novels available in bookstores across the US, Canada and Brazil.

DK Pictures operates DoInk.com, a social entertainment site focused on easy-to-use drawing and animation tools. The DK Pictures drawing and animation tools are a great addition to the full stable of activities that the Beacon Street Girls offers Club BSG, its online community. DK Pictures' Web-based tools enabled the Beacon Street Girls to create an interactive art room where users create and share original artwork and fully developed animations.

"Through our partnership with DK Pictures we are now empowering girls to express themselves through art as well as words," said Addie Swartz, CEO of B*tween Productions. "Girls love drawing and animating their own creations, as well as sharing their artwork with the rest of the BSG community who offer comments and praise. Our BSG Movie Maker game has been such a popular activity on our site, so the opening of the Art Room will only extend that experience."

"We are very excited about our partnership with BSG. The tween fans of the Beacon Street Girls are the perfect audience for our tools and a specific age group we have been trying to reach," said Karen Miller, President of DK Pictures. "Meanwhile, the high level of interest in creative activities among this audience means that DK Pictures' tools will be a big draw for the Beacon Street Girls website."
