Shawn Hartung is appointed as adapted physical education account manager at Flexicisr International.

We have recently appointed Shawn Hartung as Adapted Physical Education Account Manager. Shawn brings to the company an incredible background that will enhance the work we are already doing across the nation in Adapted Physical Education and Movement Therapy", says Bryan S.J. Mallindine, President of Flexiciser™ International.

Shawn has a BS in Kinesiology from Long Beach State College, has a background in Physiology and has worked for several orthopedic groups and medical device companies for over 8 years.

He is also an advocate for children, and is the father of three. His passion is in working within the community to make a difference. So in addition to his professional expertise, he has also worked with TASK (Team of Advocates for Special Kids). TASK is a nonprofit charitable organization whose mission is to enable individuals with disabilities to reach their maximum potential by providing them, their families and the professionals who serve them with training, support, information, resources and referrals, and by providing community awareness programs. Initially, the primary focus was on children three to 21 years of age, but services evolved to include all ages.

Shawn also works with PASS and other organizations focused on assisting parents of disabled children in navigating through the Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and has been a volunteer with the Shae program for over 2 years helping kids with Cerebral Palsy in therapeutic horseback riding setting.

"The Adapted Physical Education (APE) is a diversified program of developmental activities that are modified to meet School Districts physical education standards. It is a carefully designed physical education program that is developed and implemented with the need for individuals with disabilities in the respective Districts, and our Mobility Therapy Device™ helps serve the students in School Districts with their APE program needs. Flexiciser™ has been a part of the Adapted PE fitness for the Mobility Challenged for many years. Our Movement Therapy Devices™ are in numerous school districts including the Los Angeles Unified School District, San Diego Unified School District and hundreds of Special Education Schools, Community Colleges and Universities across the nation. With Shawn's expertise in this area of working with youth with mobility challenges we know that we will be able to even reach more youth and to continue to make a difference in the Adapted PE fitness community.
