At any given time, BTC has about 45 people servicing the needs of customers as they check in and selling tickets and lodging to other customers calling in.

Imagine how surprised the people checking into the Branson Tourism Center (BTC) were last week when they got to meet the legendary Oak Ridge Boys. The Oaks were doing a special two day limited Branson summer engagement at the Oak Ridge Boys theatre on July 23 and 24. They took time from their very busy schedule to stop by BTC to meet and greet some of their fans and the people that help sell their tickets.
Paul Miller, General Manager for BTC, said Branson Tourism Center provides a unique opportunity for Branson entertainers and national stars to meet not only some of their fans, but the people who are working to make sure those people have a great experience while they are in Branson. Miller said, “At any given time, BTC has about 45 people servicing the needs of customers as they check in and selling tickets and lodging to other customers calling in.”
Miller explained that this results in a, “unique and exciting situation, for not only the entertainer, but also for the Branson visitor.” The entertainer visiting BTC not only gets to meet, greet and encourage the people selling tickets to their show, but also interact with fans and others who are just coming into Branson. “On the other hand,” Miller points out, “the people checking in at the time get a unique and spontaneous chance to meet and interact with the entertainer.” There aren’t too many places across the country where one can have that type of experience with a national star.
Miller was quick to point out that the appearances at BTC by entertainers, although a frequent occurrence, are of a spontaneous nature rather than a scheduled event. However, he points out that so far just this year alone, among others, nationally recognized stars such as The Oak Ridge Boys, The Righteous Brothers’ Bill Medley, Paul Revere, Debby Boone, Neal McCoy, Cathy Rigby, Jim Stafford and Yakov have visited. Branson stars and entertainers such as the Circle B Chuckwagon Dinner Show, Doug Gabriel, Clay Cooper, Crossties, SIX, Dave Hamner, Jim Barber, the Warnocks, and many others have stopped by.
