Choose among qualifying vehicles such as the BMW 128, 135, 328, 335 and 528 models. If the new BMW has a combined fuel-economy that is at least four, but less than 10 miles per gallon higher than the traded-in vehicle, the credit rebate will be $3,500. If the new vehicle has a combined fuel-economy of 10 miles per gallon or higher, then the credit rebate will be $4,500.
   
To be eligible for a rebate, vehicles being traded in must be less than 25 years old on the trade-in date, get 18 or less miles per gallon and have been insured continuously for the full year proceeding the trade in.
