Irwin Schneidmill, President of Independent Living Aids, LLC joins board of FSS

Irwin's expertise will be an asset to the Foundation for Sight & Sound and the needs of the vision and hearing communities

The Foundation for Sight & Sound, (FSS), a local Long Island based organization dedicated to improving the lives of those with visual and/or auditory challenges by granting the tools and services necessary for the success of these individuals has named Irwin Schneidmill as their newest board member. Mr. Schneidmill is the president of Independent Living Aids, LLC, the oldest privately-held, mail-order company in the United States of products for individuals who are blind, deaf, visually impaired or hard of hearing.

Schneidmill brings to the association a renewed commitment to the Foundation's most basic goal, to supply and distribute products and tools for the sensory challenged.

"Irwin's expertise will be an asset to the Foundation for Sight & Sound and the needs of the vision and hearing communities," states Mitchel Shapiro, President of FSS.

Through the day to day business operations of the Foundation for Sight & Sound and Independent Living Aids, LLC, both presidents work towards a common objective of providing practical solutions to the daily obstacles faced by the visually and/or hearing impaired.

"Organizations are built on the dreams and passion of one or more individuals who have the energy, integrity and ability to follow those dreams. Mitchel Shapiro is, without a doubt a man that has the spirit and resolve required to lead the Foundation for Sight and Sound. I am honored to become a member of their board of directors and look forward to working with Mitch and the other members for many years to come," said Mr. Schneidmill.
