Cucina 39 Contracts with Whole Foods Market to Sell Specialty Italian Sauces in the Mid-Atlantic Region

Cucina 39's Executive Chef/President Keaton Hopkins recently announced that Whole Food Markets will sell four (4) new gluten-free Italian pasta sauces by the mclean-based company. The sauces will be sold in 36 Whole Food stores throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, including the tri-state area. The all natural sauces sold in 24-ounce jars will be available in the following varieties: Marinara, Porcini Mushroom, Olive Caper and Garden Vegetable. The four sauces are scheduled to hit the shelves by August 2009.

Cucina 39 represents a brand of all natural gluten free Italian products that is slow-cooked and produced in small batches. This method of preparation provides the consumer with a delicious, authentic taste of Italy in the convenience of their own home. "We emphasize the quality and authenticity of our products and showcase the fact that it is created, packaged and distributed locally." Chef Hopkins graduated from the Culinary Institute of America Hyde Park, New York and thereafter received his Master's Degree from the School of Regional Italian Cuisine in Jesi, Italy.The ambitious young chef, Keaton Hopkins, age 26, launched the company one year after returning from Italy. The company is an expression of his personal labor of love, combining a passion for authentic tasting Italian cuisine with great value for the American kitchen.

Cucina 39 is currently selling a variety of pasta sauces at The Organic Butcher, McLean,Va., Arrowine, Arlington, Va., Wegman's Market, Cockeysville, Md. and Wynn's Market, Naples, Fl. They are also available on http://www.cucina39.com and will be featured in several specialty food stores in the future.

Cucina 39 has been featured in several publications such as The Washington Post and The Washington Business Journal and Think Business Magazine.
