Over a decade ago, R•O•M Corporation introduced the SidekicK, a reversible folding walkramp and transverse carrier system that increased side-door delivery options for food distributors. Since that time, continued product improvements have enhanced the SidekicK's industry-leading positioning.
Today, that innovation continues with the introduction of new, larger wheels on the SidekicK. By doubling the SidekicK's wheel diameter to five inches, R•O•M says drivers will enjoy better ramp mobility and easier maneuvering in the wide-ranging conditions food distributors encounter.
"We think the best just got better," says Dan Caffrey, R•O•M National Accounts Manager - Food Service Distribution. "Our customers asked for a more robust wheel design that would help them better move their ramp over obstacles, across rocky parking lots, through uneven terrain, in the snow - basically any of the numerous conditions drivers face on a day-to-day basis. The new SidekicK meets that need."
The SidekicK was the first widely distributed ramp with a hinged construction that allows it to fold for transverse storage. As in the original design, the new larger wheels deploy when the ramp is folded for maneuvering and retract when the ramp is set up, allowing the steel legs to lock in place and provide increased stability during product offloading. Storage clearance was preserved, allowing the new SidekicK model to retrofit with legacy R•O•M carriers.
The latest version of the SidekicK is available for immediate purchase. Further information is available by calling R•O•M at 800-827-3692 and quotes may be obtained by online submittal at http://www.romcorp.com/quotes/.
