FUCT is bringing their twisted, no-rules adult variety comedy act to Joe's Pub at The Public Theater on Saturday, August 29, according to manager Greg Cayea.

"The show is a circus of humor, suffering and social commentary, incorporating music, dance, nudity, pain, misdirection and audience participation. FUCT challenges what audiences find taboo or offensive." said Cayea.

About FUCT
FUCT began in May 2002, when a group of college students gave an illegal performance of underground comedy. The show was put on at midnight in a black box theater with a curtain, microphone and a keg. Back then, the only point collectively agreed upon was the title, FUCT. By the following fall, rumors of this secret show had quickly spread and when FUCT returned (now introducing a live band to the mix), the audience had more than doubled in size. Students crammed in to sit or stand wherever they could to catch a glimpse of the stage. In December 2004, a portion of the group partnered up with most of the original members in an attempt to take FUCT to the world. FUCT in Public was performed for one night only at the Rattlestick Theatre. The event thrust the troupe of players onto the New York City comedy scene, where they have conceived and produced over ten full-length productions.

In addition, FUCT has appeared in two segments on HDNet's Deadline and at Caroline's on Broadway, The Broadway Comedy Club, Upright Citizen's Brigade, Spotlight Live, The Duplex and several impromptu street performances.

Festival credits include: Skit Skat Live Comedy Festival- Winner Best Comedy Troupe; 2008 Austin Out of Bounds Comedy Festival - Graham Skipper winner of All-Star Maestro Improvisation Competition; 2008 NY Comedy Festival sponsored by Comedy Central and Caroline's on Broadway; 2008 Fall LA Comedy Festival; 2008 Toronto Sketchfest; 2009 Chicago Sketchfest; 2009 Charleston Comedy Festival - Charleston City Paper's Critic's Pick; 2009 Spring LA Comedy Festival; and 2009 Montreal Sketch Comedy Festival.
