Cvent, a leading generator of group hotel business for the meetings and conventions industry, has established a strategic marketing partnership with the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau. San Antonio has guaranteed top placement on the Cvent Supplier Network, as well as increased exposure throughout the Cvent Destination Guide with the purchase of a Cvent marketing package.
Thousands of meeting and event planners rely on the Cvent Supplier Network platform to send electronic group business RFPs to hotels and CVBs. “In today’s market, we all have to expand our horizons and identify new opportunities to drive more group meetings business to our destinations and we feel confident in Cvent’s ability to do just that. By partnering with Cvent, San Antonio will be able to promote its latest meetings offer to thousands of meeting and event planners. San Antonio’s “In the Heart Meetings” promotion invites qualified planners to discover the heart of San Antonio through a complimentary site visit including airfare, accommodations and tours of area meeting facilities. Any planner who will utilize at least 200 total room nights for a meeting booked within the next 24 months can prequalify for the offer. “From our hotels, restaurants, DMCs and even our taxis – we want meeting planners to know that we are committed to joining together as a city to help every client, no matter how small or large, to execute successful events, ” said Price. “Planners will be able to qualify for San Antonio’s promotion via the Cvent Supplier Network’s promotion search,” said Bharet Malhotra, Cvent Vice President of Sales. “More importantly, we are enabling planners who traditionally work with CVBs to continue to do business the way that they want to do business while providing them with a big benefit: Cvent Supplier Network meeting planners can maintain the records of their site selection process and history in one user friendly interface.”
