Let's Get It Done Right
Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) August 5, 2009
GreenSoft Solutions, Inc. ("GSI"), a leading provider of managed hosting services, today announced several recent employee development efforts that specifically target reinforcement of the company's already successful ServerHeroes client service model, which is based on a collaborative, dedicated team approach to client service.
GSI's new components to its employee development program include: competency profiling, jobs analyses, training needs assessment, curriculum analysis and development, and administrative features that assure results and milestones are properly maintained. All of the above initiatives, along with several disparate systems, have been consolidated under an umbrella program entitled GSI Hosting University. "Our entire organization revolves around the ServerHero concept of working together to help customers with their complex hosting needs," said Kelly Kephart, president and CEO of GSI. "Critical to that philosophy is for all employees to fully understand the value and skill sets of one another - and to be experts at combining their expertise to deliver an exceptional client experience. Bolstering our training efforts is a key element in cultivating that understanding."
New hire Bob Jones, manager of training and development, has led the enhancements to GSI's employee development program. Mr. Jones came to GSI from Sony Electronics, where he gained extensive knowledge in applications development, systems software, data security and personnel management. After his 26-year-career with Sony, Mr. Jones joined GSI to consolidate the company's multiple training programs, and to identify and improve those areas where enhancements were desired. His mission is to continue developing the company's human resources to enable them to deliver the highest level of ServerHero support that GSI's clients have come to expect. In addition to his depth of experience in multiple IT disciplines, Mr. Jones has a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri, and has taught computer science courses at the university level.
The GSI Hosting University is designed to address the orientation needs of new associates along with the on-going development needs of existing employees. IT skills, company operations, and network and data security are just some of the subject areas contained within the University. Given GSI's focus on hosting for clients subject to IT compliance guidelines, the University curriculum contains specific courses, refreshers and certifications dealing with various regulatory requirements. The University also assists associates in securing and renewing certifications from hardware and software vendors.
"Our training and development efforts at GSI have taken a giant leap forward with the addition of Bob Jones and the consolidation of our efforts within the GSI Hosting University," said Jason Rogers, GSI's director of operations, "Professional client service has become the distinguishing feature of hosting providers, and for GSI to be able to maintain its position as a premiere managed services provider, we must continue to enhance the skills and capabilities of our personnel."
Change is ever-present in technology, and GSI embraces change by enabling its ServerHeroes to understand and utilize the best tools, techniques and talent in serving its clientele. The GSI Hosting University is just one more way GSI has chosen to deploy those practices in a uniform and effective manner to its staff.
GSI Hosting provides managed hosting services to companies with complex infrastructure, connectivity, or data security and compliance needs. GSI's enterprise-class data centers in the U.S. and Europe, combined with 24x7 ServerHeroes™ management, ensure applications remain available and secure at all times. GSI's "Let's Get It Done Right" commitment brings a superior level of confidence and freedom to IT professionals, allowing GSI's clients to achieve a more strategic approach in their business operations.
