rAVe Publications, a top resource for insiders in the audiovisual (AV) industry, has named Anoto penPresenter the winner of its "Best New Presentation Technology" category in its 2009 Best of InfoComm Awards

Anoto Group, the inventor of Digital Pen and Paper technology, today announced that rAVe Publications, a top resource for insiders in the audiovisual (AV) industry, has named Anoto penPresenter the winner of its "Best New Presentation Technology" category in its 2009 Best of InfoComm Awards. Anoto penPresenter was chosen as the clear choice by rAVe editors following a demo of the product at InfoComm 2009, the biggest commercial AV show ever held on the East Coast of the United States, attended by more than 29,000 AV professionals and 850 exhibitors.

Anoto penPresenter is a unique PowerPoint add-in which brings the mobile, real time capabilities of digital pen technology to slide show presentations through Bluetooth technology. Anoto penPresenter enhances presentations by allowing presenters to make notes, highlights and sketches on their slides that are viewed in real time as they present. All notes written on PowerPoint slides can then be saved digitally and distributed after the meeting, something not possible with ordinary whiteboard notes.

"Anoto penPresenter was one of the coolest education-market products we saw at the show - it will change the way that presenters use PowerPoint," said Sara Abrons, editor-in-chief, rAVe Publications. "Our entire team was impressed with the product, and we congratulate Anoto on their win."

"We are thrilled to be recognized by such a well-respected, knowledgeable source for resellers and distributors in the AV industry," said Pietro Parravicini, president and CEO, Anoto, Inc. "This award highlights the unique ability of Anoto penPresenter to truly engage audiences through PowerPoint, taking a typically passive technology and making it interactive and collaborative."
