“As OHSA mandates the use of low voltage lighting within 10 feet of the well head, a lot of rig operators and builders are looking for explosion proof and hazardous location lights that will meet that requirement,” explained Rob Bresnahan, with Larson Electronics LLC. In response to that, we now have 24 volt fluorescent lighting available with standard T8, T12HO and T5HO bulbs and 24W LED T-series alternatives, we offer a wide range of vibration resistant hazardous location fixtures for oil field applications. These fixtures can survive the pounding and movement of all types of oil and gas rig configurations. This complements our wide array of 24 volt explosion proof lighting ranging from hand lamps to pedestal mount lights for military bases, tanks, vessels, shipyards and the like. 24 volt explosion proof lights are by far the most popular configuration that we ship to the US Air Force and US Navy to date. Now, we have a line of hazardous area fluorescent style lights that are suitable for the oil field, military bases, paint spray booths, clean rooms and manufacturing applications where UL 844 rated lights are required.”

Larson Electronics manufactures and sells a wide variety of explosion proof and hazardous location lighting products for the petrochemical, manufacturing, blasting, environmental and oil field related companies.
