Alignment of company and product names enhances market recognition and simplifies branding

It reconfirms our belief that despite a weak economy, investing in technologies that help companies make informed decisions, by providing the ability to visualize, control and optimize data center assets, represents a sound investment strategy.

Global DataCenter Management (GDCM) is changing its name to nlyte Software.

"Since our inception we have been focused on developing the leading solution for data center planning and performance management, said Jon Temple, President and CEO of nlyte Software. Our product nlyte, provides the business intelligence needed for data center managers to make enlightened decisions to improve data center efficiency, deploy green IT initiatives and effectively manage this valuable corporate asset. We felt that the name of the company should align with the name of our product and reflect our expanded vision - a greener world, one enlightened data center at a time."

Our EMEA headquarters, in London, will also reflect the name change. The legal structure of the company will remain intact.

In conjunction with the name change, the company is also announcing it has secured an $8 million dollar investment from Ruffer, LLP, one of the UK's leading providers of discretionary wealth management services. The investment will be used to further expand global operations in order to support the company's aggressive growth plans.

"nlyte Software has a rapidly expanding customer base that demonstrates its value to the enterprise," said Tim Youngman, Investment Director at Ruffer, LLP. "While performance in the broader enterprise software category is flattening, nlyte Software's focus on data center optimization places it in a high-growth sub-segment, with a business critical solution that can yield rapid paybacks for customers."

"We are very pleased to have Ruffer, LLP as an investor in nlyte Software," Temple added. "It reconfirms our belief that despite a weak economy, investing in technologies that help companies make informed decisions, by providing the ability to visualize, control and optimize data center assets, represents a sound investment strategy."

Effective immediately, all future business activity will be conducted using the new name. There has been no change in the company's management or ownership.
