Organized by Farm Journal Magazine and sponsored by StollerUSA, the second annual Corn College was held July 21-24 near Bloomington, Ill.

The event attracted a crowd of over 400 corn growers and supporters. Attendees were offered the unique opportunity to discuss concerns with Jerry Stoller, founder and CEO of StollerUSA. Stoller provided information on how farmers can best protect their expensive seed investment by maximizing genetic expression. The Stoller technical sessions highlighted Bio-Forge®, an advanced stress-inhibitor that allows a plant to reach its full genetic potential.

Attendees were able to take a closer look at the dramatic results of Bio-Forge at Stoller's demo plot located on the Corn College campus. Corn treated with Bio-Forge showed a more robust root system with increased plant stand density - quick calculations showed up to a 66% increase in plant population. In addition Bio-Forge-treated plants had thicker stalks and few or no brace roots - both indicators of a healthier root system. Stoller attributed the dramatic differences to the extremely cold and wet growing season experienced in central Illinois. "The more stress the plant is under, the more dramatic the results when using Bio-Forge," shared Stoller.

Bio-Forge® was placed in furrow with the seed at the time of planting in the Corn College demo plot. But it is also effective as a seed treatment or foliar application. Bio-Forge is also effective on other crops including soybeans, wheat, potatoes, fruits and vegetables to enhance yield and protect against stressful conditions.
