We see this as a great way to save money and improve your home
Waitsfield, VT (Vocus) August 8, 2009
Houseneeds.com, The Vermont based internet seller of energy efficient, environmentally friendly home heating and ventilation products, has announced that its first annual warehouse sale will take place on Saturday, August 22nd, from 9 to 5 pm at its Waitsfield, Vermont Warehouse Center. August 22nd is also the Vermont Sales Tax Holiday—Consumers are exempt from paying the 6% state sales tax on all purchases that day under $2000.00.
Many of the energy efficient, environmentally friendly products Houseneeds carries qualify for the Federal Energy Efficiency Tax credit. This Tax Credit was designed to help make US homes more energy efficient and less reliant on foreign energy sources. The program rewards homeowners who purchase and install approved products by giving up to 30% of the cost back in the form of a tax credit. Of the Products included in the program, Houseneeds will be offering Tankless Water Heaters, High Efficiency Boilers, Pellet and Wood Stoves, Solar Hot Water Heating, Residential Wind Power, Solar House fans, and Solar Sky lighting—all at the lowest prices of the year.
“We see this as a great way to save money and improve your home,” says Gary Johannesen, Head of Sales of Houseneeds. “We are offering Homeowners who want to make their homes warmer and more energy efficient, 3 different ways to save. For instance, a homeowner comes in and buys a new Pellet Stove. We're taking 10-15 percent off the cost. Because the cost is under $2000.00 dollars, she saves another 6% due to the sales tax holiday. Then, next April, the homeowner gets another 30% of the cost back in the Federal Tax Credit. I can’t think of a better day to buy from us.”
The Vermont sales tax holiday takes place on August 22nd and applies only to purchases made in person. Houseneeds will be offering all new product at anywhere from 5 to 75% off regular pricing. On top of that, there will be additional specials on showroom display models, factory overstock, and discontinued product such as: Gas Fireplaces, Gas Stoves, Gas Boilers, Tankless Water Heaters, Bath Fans, Solar Skylights, Direct Vent Gas Space Heaters, Hydronic Radiators, Solar Hot Water Systems, Plumbing and Heating Supplies, and Whole House Fans.
Local radio legend Jack Donovan from WDEV will be there doing a remote broadcast from 9 to 10 am. Other local businesses, including the Liz Lovely Cookie Company and organic clothing by Deerfield Designs will also be there with Special Tax Free day offerings.
The Houseneeds Annual Warehouse Sale and Tax Free Holiday takes place on August 22nd, from 9 to 5 pm at 167 Mad River Canoe Rd in Waitsfield, VT. This is a rain or shine event and it happens just once a year. “Last year’s Tax Free Holiday was a great day for us and our customers,” said Mr. Johannesen. "Vermonters know great deals when they see them, so having a sale on top of the 6% tax savings is just amazing for everyone in the state. This program works for homeowners, and it works for business owners as well. It is the purest definition of a win-win situation.”
