Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery, continuing its aggressive moves to educate its patients and the public, has launched a Twitter Plastic Surgery Education Program.

Because cosmetic surgery is elective, people are looking for a first-class experience, and that's what we offer at our center.

Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery is the first and only plastic surgery center on eponymous boulevard. The center has always been committed to providing patient education, and has now unveiled a Twitter page to continue this process.

The Twitter page will work in conjunction with its other patient outreach and education programs. These other media include traditional web sites, procedure specific web sites focused on single procedures such as tummy tuck, liposuction, breast augmentation, breast reduction, rhinoplasty, plastic surgery for men, ethnic plastic surgery, a general education site and a Spanish language web site.

The center also has a series of blogs, including one that features long-form educational articles written by the center's Medical Director, Dr. Lloyd Krieger. Recent article topics include ethnic rhinoplasty and recovery from breast augmentation. Some of the blogs are written by Dr. Krieger and provide insights from the point of view of a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon. Others are written by members of the staff, and offer a different perspective on the patient experience with cosmetic surgery.

"We are pleased to present a full spectrum of information sources for our patients and the public," says Dr. Krieger. "If people are interested in general information about plastic surgery, we offer a detailed and comprehensive web site. If they seek to learn even more information about a particular procedure such as Los Angeles breast augmentation or Los Angeles rhinoplasty, they can go to our procedure specific web sites. They also can check out our blog of long-form articles I have written about all the procedures we offer. One recent article there, for example, was called "Seven Things You Should Know About a tummy tuck. When people want to gain a feeling for new trends and developments in the specialty, they can spend time with our blogs written from different points of view."

Dr. Krieger notes that the new Twitter page will provide an important addition to this already wide ranging education program. "Twitter let's us give short, frequent, and instant updates. This is a less formal way of giving people information, as well as a feeling for what plastic surgery and our center are all about."

Dr. Krieger concludes, "With these quick updates, our goal is to provide people with late breaking news and information on what it is like to be a plastic surgery patient . We want people to understand the enhancements various procedures provide to overall lifestyle."
