The drivers will be assessed by Rob Wilson, regarded by many as the best driver coach in the business with a client list including names like Juan Pablo Montoya, Kimi Raikkonen, David Coulthard, Valentino Rossi, Nico Rosberg and Bruno Senna.
Only nine drivers will be invited to compete in the Final. Eight will progress from the Round 1 assessments with one other place going to the winner of this years Formula Ford Festival Duratec final.
The winner of "Grand Prix Shootout" will be given a full season in the 2010 Formula BMW Europe series with Raikkonen Robertson Racing and get the chance to progress to Formula 1! Visit the Grand Prix Shootout website at http://www.grandprixshootout.com for details.
To win the place, all a driver/karter has to do is to apply to have their name added to the entry list on the Driver Database website at http://www.driverdb.com/grandprixshootout. Once approved, fans and other drivers will vote for whichever driver they feel has the best chance of winning "Grand Prix Shootout" and making it to Formula 1.
