The University Hospitals Case Medical Center has selected STEMSOFT Software's industry leading clinical and laboratory blood and marrow transplant (BMT) software to track, analyze and integrate the program's patient and product information.

STEMSOFT Software Inc ("STEMSOFT"), the leading provider of software solutions for cell therapy transplant programs, is pleased to announce the licensing of STEMSOFT's complete suite of applications to the University Hospitals Case Medical Center ("UHCMC").

"University Hospitals Case Medical Center is ready to move to a more advanced software system that can offer us many benefits, including a great software platform, regular updates, a network of users to communicate with, and easy access to technical support," says Amy Wakeling, Administrative Director of the UHCMC Blood and Marrow Transplant Program.

Jane Reese, Operations Director of the Cell Therapy Service Department, adds "We are extremely excited to be able to track all our product manufacturing information including the ability to generate the ISBT 128 labels and maintain lot-to-lot traceability in our lab, this will be a great step forward for us."

STEMSOFT's uniquely integrated suite of applications is designed to track and correlate all BMT patient and product information in one database. This includes:

  • StemLab which is designed to manage and streamline the unique workflow followed in the cell therapy laboratory while also assisting with heightening of quality control, managing inventory and generating robust outcome reports including the ability to correlate product manufacture to clinical outcomes;
  • BMTserve which is designed to manage all BMT patient data from point of referral, to diagnosis, treatment, and engraftment including ongoing follow up details. BMTserve includes integrated statistical analysis tools, built-in flexible views and the ability to create custom outcome analyses which can help programs evaluate the effectiveness of treatment options amongst many other possibilities; and
  • BMTbase which will provide the program with the ability to statistically analyze and review information that has been submitted to the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) and the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) registry via AGNIS.

"STEMSOFT is very excited to be working with this group, we look forward to allowing for quicker and seamless integration between the BMT clinic and lab while also streamlining data entry by interfacing with existing hospital systems", says Nicole Waidman, Sales and Marketing Manager for STEMSOFT.
