Beit Shemesh, Israel (PRWEB) August 12, 2009
From August 18-21 at the Trondheim, Norway Aqua Nor show, Atlantium Technologies Ltd (http://www.atlantium.com) will be spreading the word about its new series of UV-based Hydro-Optic water Disinfection™ (HOD) systems. Released in 2008, the new RZ systems are consistently proving themselves in aquaculture settings around the globe, optimizing production parameters such as reduced mortality rates, increased fish densities, FCR and growth rate.
Stable production through superior disinfection technology:
Atlantium's booth (Hall D, #346) will feature an RZ demo unit, letting visitors see for themselves how the system achieves superior performance and value. The RZ system is engineered for accurate management and control, smart maintenance and ease of farm integration. Using the precise Dose Prescription method, farms can reduce or eliminate medications and antibiotics, stabilize production and come to market with high quality eggs, fries and fish.
Atlantium HOD technology manifests the optimal integration of UV light and hydraulic flow patterns along with unimpeded water flow in the reactor's disinfection zone. These elements, facilitated by the systems' structural architecture, lead to extremely high levels of microbial inactivation within a truly environmentally-friendly system.
Atlantium systems address disinfection and business concerns:
Ms. Limor Barak, Global Aquaculture Application Manager, said, "I'm really looking forward to talking to Aqua Nor visitors about our systems. Atlantium appeals to today's farm managers who are very much aware of what methodologies make sense for the fish they grow and the farm business they manage. And as far as the environment is concerned, they have first-hand knowledge of the damage caused by chemical disinfection. With the opportunity to demonstrate the RZ's advantages at the show, I'm certain our enthusiasm will be contagious and farm managers will understand the advantages of implementing clean, UV-based disinfection they can depend on to meet their various concerns. Visitors can come to our booth to discuss their microbiological concerns and how HOD implementation can make a difference to their business. Mr. Yariv Abramovich, Director of Worldwide Business Development, with emphasis on aquaculture, will also be at Aqua Nor to speak with visitors."
Another implementation incentive is the RZ models' efficient energy consumption which leads to reduced operating costs. According to Dr. Uri Levy, Atlantium's VP Physics and Electro-Optics, "The electrical energy consumed in treating a volume of water (delivering a given UV-Dose) by our medium-pressure-based RZ models is even lower than the energy consumed by practically all low-pressure-based UV systems (i.e., systems based on LP, LPHO and Amalgam lamp types)."
Safe, effective disinfection on well boats:
With the RZ Series, Atlantium brought its advanced technology to a new market, installing the systems on fish-transporting well-boats. The system meets Chilean environmental and aquaculture regulations. The objectives on well boats are two-fold: Disinfecting inlet water for fish tanks and ensuring pathogen-free water; disinfecting discharge water, protecting sea environment and preventing the spread of contaminants throughout the water.
About Atlantium's Hydro-Optic Disinfection™:
Introduced to the water disinfection market in 2005, the Hydro-Optic Disinfection technology, with its revolutionary design and operating principles, has been achieving unprecedented high levels of microbial inactivation, never seen before in UV-based reactors. Atlantium adapted the principle of Total Internal Reflection, combining it with advanced optic and hydraulic techniques to significantly lengthen the path of UV rays. This paradigm-shifting approach has been proven to deliver a uniform UV dose distribution in the disinfection chamber, exposing all microorganisms in the water to the same required UV dose. The system is engineered around the concept of Dose Prescription, enabling farm technical staff to effectively eliminate various pathogens at the touch of a button. The result is consistent and dependable high levels of disinfection that have paved the way for the system to serve as primary disinfection for applications previously thought to be inappropriate for UV-based systems.
About Atlantium Technologies:
Atlantium develops and supplies advanced innovative water disinfection solutions for a wide variety of industrial and municipal applications. Atlantium's solutions meet growing industrial and drinking water safety requirements worldwide. The Hydro-Optic Disinfection™ system is field-proven in municipal applications and in the aquaculture, food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, pools and spas and other industries. Atlantium installations are in operation in the United States, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia and the Middle East.
