Childhood Apraxia of Speech Organization Selects Linda Arnsbarger and Morrison & Foerster For Its Corporate & Pro Bono Service Excellence Award

The Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA) presented its Corporate & Pro Bono Service Excellence Award to Ms. Linda Arnsbarger and Morrison & Foerster LLP, at its national conference held in July 2009. Ms. Arnsbarger and the firm were recognized for their extraordinary commitment to CASANA's charitable mission through volunteer legal services and philanthropic giving.

Ms. Arnsbarger and colleagues have treated their pro bono work for CASANA in the same high-quality manner as they treat billable work, and in so doing have helped CASANA address a variety of nonprofit legal matters. Their support has strengthened our organization and its important mission for children and families

The Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA) presented its Corporate & Pro Bono Service Excellence Award to Ms. Linda Arnsbarger and Morrison & Foerster LLP, at its national conference held in July 2009. Ms. Arnsbarger and the firm were recognized for their extraordinary commitment to CASANA's charitable mission through volunteer legal services and philanthropic giving.

At Morrison & Foerster's Washington, D.C. office, Ms. Arnsbarger is Of Counsel to the Tax Department, and has been with the firm since 1986. Ms. Arnsbarger is recognized by CASANA for both volunteering her legal expertise to the organization, and for her demonstrated leadership in organizing her colleagues to also volunteer their legal counsel. "Ms. Arnsbarger and colleagues have treated their pro bono work for CASANA in the same high-quality manner as they treat billable work, and in so doing have helped CASANA address a variety of nonprofit legal matters. Their support has strengthened our organization and its important mission for children and families," said Sharon Gretz, CASANA's Executive Director.

Along with the Morrison & Foerster Foundation, Ms. Arnsbarger has also sponsored funding requests for parent training and education on apraxia. The Foundation has funded scholarships at CASANA's annual conference in order for parents of children with apraxia to learn about the disorder and how to advocate for their children's needs.
