Our product development focus is on simplification for the healthcare provider

Scribe Healthcare Technologies, Inc. (http://www.scribe.com), announced the release of a new product called Scribe Direct. Scribe Direct is a secure Web service used to fully automate the secure transfer of voice files from digital handheld recorders to the transcription company for transcription or editing of voice recognition. Scribe Direct can be used with most digital recorders including Olympus, Panasonic, Sony, and Phillips.

"Our product development focus is on simplification for the healthcare provider", said Mark Boyce, president and CEO of Scribe. "Scribe Direct allows the physician to dictate in a very efficient manner, then upload the voice files when ready. This process is similar to historical methods but with fewer steps in the process. The result is reduction in document turn-around time, improved quality, and compatibility with new digital documentation standards."

Scribe Direct can be setup and configured on a local computer in about ten minutes. Settings allow the user to determine archival period, automation level, and backup. File transfer is via secure Web service, which ensures safety and confidentiality.

"Scribe Direct is a dramatic improvement over our prior voice file transfer methods. It is incredibly easy to use, it is completely automatic, and so much faster! Our doctors are amazed at the simplicity of the whole process and are very excited about the time it saves them each day." said Shauna Hubbard, CEO of Quality Transcription Service
