The International Virtual Assistants Association, a non-profit international association for virtual assistants, will be holding its 4th annual online conference on November 6, 2009. Open to the public, it will help virtual assistants (VAs) who are interested in building, growing and achieving skills for their businesses.

On November 6, 2009, the International Virtual Assistants Association (IVAA) will host their fourth annual online conference entitled, "Your Link to Success". This 12-hour event (8:00 am to 8:00 pm EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME) is specifically designed for home-based business professionals who work virtually. There will be a vast array of topics offered, with sessions offering inspiration, expert presenters covering issues for both the new and the veteran virtual professional - and even those wishing to learn more about joining the industry.

Attendees may choose a la carte from any of three sessions offered every hour or may simply take one of IVAA's suggested "Chart Your Success Routes" for the day:

  •     Building - Geared towards those considering this career or who have been in business for only one or two years.
  •     Growing - Featuring topics for virtual professionals in business for several years who wish to expand their business, stay on top of current trends, and enhance their skills / services.
  •     Achieving - The Training room is a series of interactive sessions designed to give participants hands-on experience with today's hottest technology.

In today's shaky economy, many businesses turn to the virtual world for professional business and secretarial support. Today's Virtual Assistants are able to offer the same skill level and support services found in any office team, but they offer these at a savings, billing clients only for the time it takes to complete a project. There are no sick days, vacations, taxes, or company-paid benefits in the virtual world. Since VA's work remotely, the business owner does not even have to provide an office or a computer. Assignments are transmitted at the speed of light via the internet or fax.

Since 1999, the IVAA has been dedicated to the professional education and development of virtual assistants worldwide, as well as educating the public about the function and services VA's offer. With over 1,000 members in over fifteen countries, IVAA is the premier industry association, setting standards for excellence and offering a myriad of opportunities, like this Online Summit and their yearly Live Summit, as well as, various certifications including their premier certification, the IVAA CVA (Certified Virtual Assistant).

Hosting the annual online conference allows IVAA to reach a wide audience and continue their mission to educate and certify the best professionals in this growing industry.

Through the virtual courses offered at the Online Summit, IVAA provides a much-needed doorway for men and women to re-enter the business world after a lay-off, years of staying home for their families - or just to make a lifestyle change and leave commutes and offices behind.

You can participate in this event with only an internet connection and computer (join discussions with your headset with microphone). The Online Summit is open to the public and membership in IVAA is not required. IVAA Members are provided with discounts, including an early bird registration of only $60.00 for an all access pass to the full day's programming. (Early bird ends Midnight September 30, 2009 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME) and the registration fee after that for members will be $75.00. If you are not an IVAA member, registration is $85.00 for an all access pass to the whole day's programs.
