Many attorneys are caught up in their day-to-day office routines, and they just don't see yet how internet technologies can be leveraged to cut costs, expand centers of influence and build revenue
Paola, KS (PRWEB) August 13, 2009
When it comes too using the internet and social media to build an estate planning or elder law practice, Jennifer Campbell, CEO of Integrity Marketing Solutions is a bit of an evangelist.
"Many attorneys are caught up in their day-to-day office routines, and they just don't see yet how internet technologies can be leveraged to cut costs, expand centers of influence and build revenue," she says.
Integrity Marketing is hosting a workshop online at 12 noon (central) on Tuesday, August 25, entitled Leveraging Internet Technologies. The workshop is part of the company's Practice Development Workshop Series for Estate Planning and Elder Law Attorneys.
"Some attorneys still don't believe that the internet and social media like Twitter can help them build an estate planning practice," Campbell says. "To illustrate, what would it do for your estate planning practice if tomorrow morning you were invited to speak to a packed-hall of entrepreneurial business owners? And all of them in attendance were keenly interested in selling their business, transferring it to the next generation, or equalizing their estate for all of their children? Additionally, each and every person gave you their email address, visited your website, and asked if you would please stay in touch with them over the next several months. What if this happened every single day of the week?"
Clearly, those types of daily opportunities would transform an estate planning or elder law practice. And, Campbell says, that is what is happening on the internet every day. "It's not just business owners, either," she says, "but special-interest groups of all types from caregivers for the elderly to sailing enthusiasts and Alpaca farmers. People are gathering together on the internet to pursue their interests and find services that meet their specialized needs."
But reaching them is both science and art. Old sales methods fall flat and even backfire on the internet. Violate the netiquette and quickly become a pariah.
In their upcoming Practice Development Workshop, Campbell and Integrity Marketing Solutons will show estate planning and elder law attorneys how to leverage internet technologies to cut costs, expand influence and build revenue, even in a down economy.
"Websites, SEO, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, Linked-In, pay-per-click, Google, Bing! - these words are all part of the new online lexicon," Campbell says. "If you haven't caught up with the technology, there's no more time to wait! NOW is the time to get up-to-speed and start leveraging technology to grow your practice. "
Attorneys will learn key tactics to leverage their time with social media and get the highest return on their internet marketing investment. Topics to be covered include search engine optimization, getting local search results, why blogging is so powerful and how to use social media like Twitter, Facebook and Linked-In to to expand influence within key markets.
"We're working with an entirely new concept here," Campbell says. "This workshop is more than a mere webinar, it's really a virtual event." In addition to audio, video and live chat, the event includes a social networking site where attendees can meet and interact with each other and the panel of speakers, before, during and after the program.
Registration is just $149 per firm, though early registrants can save $50 before August. 18. To sign up visit the Integrity Marketing Solutions website at http://www.estateplanningpartners.com.
