Light Styles of Boise and Light Styles Internet are expanding. The existing Boise lighting showroom is changing into a full service home design center called the Belcaro Design Center, Jessyca Holbrook, the president of Light Styles, says "Despite the economic downturn Light Styles sees this as an opportunity to capture market share by better serving our showroom customers. We also see increasing international opportunity for our online store".

The Light Styles of Boise showroom has long been the leading supplier of lighting products to the Boise market. It has been impacted like everyone by the economic downturn. However, Jessyca Holbrook, the president of Light Styles, and Rosemary Wickowski, the CEO of Light Styles Internet, see a silver lining in this crises. The showroom and the company internet site,, are both leaders in their markets and are taking advantage of this period to enhance operations to be able to better meet customer needs.

Holbrook says "Market pressures have forced many showrooms to close, by improving the quality of the shopping experience we offer our customers we anticipate increasing our market share. By tripling the showroom space and expanding the range of products offered we anticipate that the Belcaro Design Center will become the leading home design product supplier in the region."

Wickowski commented that "The company website is one of the top five lighting destinations on the web making Light Styles a premier distributor for home lighting products nationally. We have also recently expanded our distribution to include select international markets. Currency exchange rates have made it possible for us to sell high end products directly to Europe and we anticipate capturing market share in those upscale markets".

Holbrook accomplished the showroom expansion by joining forces with suppliers of other home design products. She organized Steve Williams, owner of Advanced Marble and Granite, and Trevor Brown, co-owner with his brother Ian of Lochsa Finish Hardware, to join as anchor tenants in her expanded showroom on an overhead cost sharing basis. By offering a full service destination to designers, builders, and home owners for all of their home interior design needs the center will be a destination for everyone needing decor and finish products as the housing market gradually recovers.
